2024 Paris Olympics: Lady Gaga gives a stunning performance during the opening ceremony

The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics began on Friday after a difficult start to the Summer Games, with rainy skies over the River Seine and suspected acts of sabotage targeting France’s key high-speed rail network.

French football legend Zinedine Zidane kicked off the opening ceremony with the Olympic torch in his hands. In a pre-recorded video, he can be seen running through a Parisian traffic jam before passing the torch to a group of children in the metro, who then walk through the Catacombs to a boat, after which the broadcast switches to a real-time view of the Seine River.
