71st National Film Award: Shah Rukh Khan, Mohanlal Rani Mukherjee, Vikrant Massey Win Top Honors – Check the complete list of winners

71st National Film Award winner: The National Film Awards 2025 celebrations, celebrating the best Indian cinema since 2023, were held on 23 September, 2025 at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi, presenting the honor with President Drupadi Murmu.

The highlights included Shah Rukh Khan (Jawan) and the first national award of Shah Rukh Khan, sharing the Best Actor Award in Vikrant Masi (12th Fail). Vidya Vinod Chopra’s 12th failure won the best feature film, while Rani Mukherjee got the best actress for Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway, which she was also first.

Malayalam cinema veteran Mohanlal was awarded the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Lifetime Achievement Award. Hanu-Man was named Best Film in AVGC, and Gadh: The Mehtar won the best short film. The ceremony honored films, actors and technicians across the country for his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema.
