Oscar winner Olivia Colman will reunite with British star Tom Hiddleston for the second season of their critically acclaimed show Night manager. The BBC and streaming service Prime Video recently announced a second season of the show.
Hiddleston is returning once again to play Jonathan Pine, a handsome former soldier and hotel night manager recruited to take down arms dealer Richard Roper’s empire in the first season, which was released to universal acclaim in 2016, according to a press release. BBC Said.
Coleman will reprise her role as intelligence agent Angela Burr, who runs a small department tied to Whitehall in the first season and is determined to take down Roper. Apart from Coleman, four other cast members from the first season will also return for the second season – Alistair Petrie as Sandy Langbourne, Douglas Hodge as Rex Mayhew, Michael Nardone as Frisky and Noah Jupe as Daniel Roper.
They will be joined by a number of new cast members including Diego Calva, Camila Morrone, Indira Varma, Paul Chahidi and Hayley Squires. Inspired by characters from author John le Carré’s best-selling novel, the upcoming second series will once again be written by the show’s creator David Farr. Georgie Banks-Davies will direct.
The series is produced by The Ink Factory in association with Character 7, Demarest Films and 127 Wall, and in co-production with Nostromo Pictures. night manager Production on the second season begins later this month in the UK.
