Pop singer Justin Timberlake was recently arrested for allegedly driving under the influence in the Hamptons. The American singer-songwriter was stopped by a new cop in Sag Harbor who has a reputation as a tough cop in the city. Timberlake was stopped by a new cop named Michael Arkinson, who is also named in the singer’s charge sheet. Michael arrested the SexyBack singer when he crossed a stop signal and drove in the wrong lane.

Meet the new police officer Michael Arkinson
Michael Arkinson is a rookie police officer who arrested Timberlake for a DWI just three months into his service. However, he has already earned a reputation as a tough cop in the area. As reported by the New York Post, residents of The Hamptons have even nicknamed the police officer the ‘Sag Harbor Nazi’ and “little red-headed Dips-T” due to his strict adherence to law and order.
Michael graduated from the police academy two years ago in 2022 and has now been promoted to a full-time Sag Harbor officer. The 24-year-old police officer also worked as a part-time traffic control officer while in high school in 2017. He lives in South Hampton, a 25-minute drive from Sag Harbor.
The Generation Z cops did not recognize the former NSYNC member and had no idea of his fame and reputation when they stopped him for violating traffic rules. They were not even born when Timberlake joined his former band NSYNC.

Other stories of clashes with rookie police officers
According to a report in Daily Mail, a resident got into a confrontation with a cop after he said he was talking on speakerphone while driving. The Sag Harbor Nazi fined him $145 for talking on his mobile phone while driving. When the resident protested that he was on speakerphone, the rookie cop instructed him to use Bluetooth as per traffic instructions.
“I think Justin Timberlake was a victim of the over-aggressive Sag Harbor police” the resident said, commenting on Timberlake’s recent arrest by Michael.
