Yes, it feels weird to do so, especially when blind aliens with acute hearing are ruining New York and the world (which is the same thing in Hollywood). I haven’t yet decided if watching the film on Screen X enhanced the movie-viewing experience or distracted it. If the side screens were curved around the line of sight rather than being at right angles, it would have made a difference. Anyway, after a point, you lose sight of the expanse of the screen.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a lot of epic destruction, as most of it takes place off-screen. The aliens look like cousins ​​of the Xenomorphs (we can’t wait for August 16th and Alien: Romulus), running from place to place, breaking glass, and throwing themselves from great heights onto helpless survivors.
The scene where Sam finds herself with other survivors of the alien apocalypse, including Henry (Djimon Hounsou reprises his role) A Quiet Place Part II) In a partially destroyed church, it is an indescribable beauty. The ruby ​​red and bright blue of the stained glass windows remind one of the beauty found even in the midst of the most horrific carnage.
The puppet show, or puppet show as Sam’s nurse Reuben (Alex Wolff) calls it, is also beautiful. Nyong’o’s brilliant performance is worth watching. She’s the one who convinces us that it’s worth the trip across town to eat pizza, which is not just a pie, but a reminder of the happy days when Sam’s jazz pianist father would take her out for pizza after performances at Patsy’s.
