Fourth of July celebrations in Sunland-Tujunga turned sour when actor Danny Trejo and a group of locals reportedly got into a scuffle. The fight reportedly started with a water balloon incident when some people threw balloons at Trejo’s vintage car while he was participating in the parade. However, the situation soon spiraled out of control. Video shows Trejo getting out of the vehicle to confront the crowd and the two sides exchanging punches. Though no arrests were made, the clash has generated a lot of buzz online.

Videos circulating online show the Runaway Train star caught in a heated moment, definitely not caused by the scorching heat. Reportedly, the incident started when a water balloon was thrown at Trejo’s car during the parade, triggering the confrontation.

The footage shows the 80-year-old getting out of his vehicle and approaching a man, believed to be the balloon thrower. He attacks the man, who then retaliates, knocking Trejo to the ground while bystanders and security personnel intervene to restrain him. Though there are still no details, the video shows Trejo punching him, to which he responds with a punch back.

The melee was reportedly brief, with bystanders intervening and trying to stop the fight. However, the incident did not end peacefully. The footage shows Trejo getting up from the ground, grabbing a green folding chair, and throwing it towards the crowd. Despite pleas by onlookers to stop the fight due to children nearby, tempers continued to flare.

Later, the Con Air actor spoke to TMZ and said he was hit with water balloons for no reason. Although the incident did not cause any serious injuries, the performer shared his disappointment about the incident given his deep attachment to the parade. He condemned the people who started the water balloon fight and called their actions childish. Trejo told the outlet that some of those throwing balloons looked to be in their 30s or older.
