Hollywood star Hugh Jackman on Friday named Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma as his favourite cricketer in the current Indian national team. The Australian actor, who is an avid cricket fan, said this during the promotions of his upcoming Marvel film. deadpool and wolverinein which he reprises the role of Wolverine.
The incident comes just a day after the Indian national team held a historic parade in Mumbai to celebrate their victory in the World Cup T20. In a video posted by Marvel India, Hugh said that he is happy with India winning the World Cup T20 Cup. Hugh said about Rohit, “Honestly, he was a beast,” while his co-star and Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds described Hugh’s cricket knowledge as amazing.
Directed by Shawn Levy, deadpool and wolverine It is the third installment in the “Merc with a Mouth” franchise. Ryan plays the merciless Wade Wilson/Deadpool and Hugh plays the gruff Logan/Wolverine, with the film marking Deadpool’s first official role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The film’s cast also includes Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni and McFadden.
Kevin Feige, Ryan, Shawn Levy, and Lauren Shuler Donner are producing the film, while Louis D’Esposito, Wendy Jacobson, Mary McLaglen, Josh McLaglen, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, George Dewey, Simon Kinberg, and Jonathan Komack Martin are executive producers.
