Dinky Star Taapsee Pannu, who got married earlier this year, revealed during the latest edition of Expresso that she would have agreed to be a part of Ranbir Kapoor’s film Animal “On paper.” During the latest edition of Expresso, Taapsee Pannu was asked if she would have said yes to a film like Animal. She replied, “If I had read the script of Animal, I would have been as excited as Ranbir Kapoor… But, the difference is… when you read a script and when what you see is the director’s medium. When I am reading a script, I don’t know on which shot he is putting a low angle and high BGM… I can’t see that through the script. It is only the director who can communicate with shot-taking and post-production. You visualise a certain scene and shot. The heroism, or how you celebrate (a character, depending on how the scene is shot), it won’t be on paper.”
Reiterating that she would have said yes to Animal even on paper, Taapsee said, “It was a bit weird to hear cheers and whistles at certain moments and points where I didn’t want the BGM to progress in a way where the audience is forced to cheer, clap and whistle at certain moments. That is the issue.”
The Haseen Dillruba star also clarified that she has rejected dark roles glorified in the scripts, as she understands the impact films have on the audience. “If they watch a film they don’t like it.
