Mahabharat’s Krishna aka Nitish Bharadwaj praises Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD: “Hindi filmmakers should learn from the South”

Nitish Bharadwaj, who became famous in every household by playing the role of Lord Krishna in BR Chopra’s film. Mahabharata, is the latest celebrity to join the Kalki 2898 AD Fan Club. Impressed with Nag Ashwin’s vision, Nitish Bharadwaj shared his thoughts about the film in an interview News 18Nitish Bharadwaj told the news portal, “(Naag Ashwin has) cleverly used characters from the Mahabharata and the future birth of Kalki, the last incarnation of Mahavishnu. Hindi filmmakers should learn from the South as they are so deeply rooted in our scriptures and epics that even their inspirational versions seem right. There is no doubt that Kalki has definitely got visual inspiration from the Mad Max films. Still, it felt different because ultimately, the sets and production design were less important to me than the foreground story. Ashwin has blended the two very well.”

When asked if he misses the shooting days on the film sets? Mahabharata While watching the film, Nitish Bharadwaj told News18, “Yes, because the epic Mahabharata is extremely close to my heart. And no, because Ashwin created a different world before me.” The veteran actor also expressed his desire to play Lord Krishna in the sequel. He joked, “In the sequel, Ashwin doesn’t need to hide Krishna’s face, I am available (laughs).” For those who don’t know, playing the role of Naag Ashwin is a must. In his review for NDTV, film critic Saibal Chatterjee gave the film 2.5 stars out of 5 and wrote, “On the acting front, Prabhas takes the lead and not just because the film revolves around him. His robust presence works as a contrast to Amitabh Bachchan’s gigantic Ashwatthama – the immortal warrior is eight-foot-tall. As always, his voice is an integral part of the character. Deepika Padukone, who plays one of the central characters, is superb as the pregnant woman on the run.”

Performed by a stellar cast, Kalki 2898 AD Since its release on June 27, the film has grossed Rs 466 crore. Kalki 2898 AD It stars Prabhas as Bhairava, Deepika Padukone as Sumathi, Disha Patani as Roxy, Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwathama and Kamal Haasan as Supreme Yaskin. The film also features Mrunal Thakur, Ram Gopal Varma, SS Rajamouli, Vijay Deverakonda and Dulquer Salmaan in cameo roles. Kalki 2898 A.D. was released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
