Mumbai: Actress Tripti Dimri, who is currently busy promoting her upcoming film ‘Bad Newz’ alongside Vicky Kaushal and Amy Virk, has shared a sunkissed picture with her alleged boyfriend Sam Merchant.
In the picture posted on Instagram Stories, Tripti and Sam are seen sitting in a motor boat with their friends.
The photo was taken at an undisclosed location and shows the group basking in the sunlight while enjoying time together.
Talking about his upcoming film, ‘Bad Newz’ directed by Anand Tiwari depicts a humorous yet poignant tale of heterosexual oversaturation with a backdrop of comedy and chaos, bringing forth unexpected fatherhood dilemmas.
The recently released trailer of the film features Vicky Kaushal and Amy Virk as the protagonists grappling with unexpected parenthood dilemmas, with Tripti Dimri adding to the comical mayhem.
‘Bad News’ gives a new twist to the genre, promising an emotional rollercoaster packed with rib-tickling humour.
The film appears to be a successor to the 2019 hit film ‘Good Newz’, which starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead roles.
‘Bad Newz’ is produced by Tiwari, Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Amritpal Singh Bindra. Written by Ishita Moitra and Tarun Dudeja, the film will release in theatres on July 19.
Tripti, who has been a part of films like ‘Laila Majnu’, ‘Bulbul’ and ‘Kaala’, recently gained fame with her role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga directed ‘Animal’.
The actress will also be seen in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ alongside Kartik Aaryan.
Directed by Anees Bazmee, the third part of the hit franchise also stars Vidya Balan in the lead roles and is all set to hit the theatres on the occasion of Diwali 2024.
Vidya Balan played the role of Manjulika in the 2007 psychological horror-comedy film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’.
