‘Mookuthi Amman’ to have a sequel; Nayanthara set to return as Devi

Looks like Tamil cinema will be flooded with sequels! 2020 Mookuthi Amman A sequel is in the making and Nayanthara is all set to return as Devi. Wales Film International, the banner behind the original film, will be funding the film. Mookuthi Amman 2 Too.

An announcement video was shared on the social media accounts of the production house confirming the sequel. Mookuthi Amman 2 The film will reportedly not be directed by RJ Balaji and NJ Saravanan, who directed the original film, and the director of the film is expected to be announced soon.

This 2020 film marked Balaji’s directorial debut, starring him alongside Nayanthara and Urvashi, Smriti Venkat, Madhu Melankodi, Mouli and Ajay Ghosh. The film revolves around a news anchor who teams up with a goddess to expose a baba who is a fake.

Interestingly, Balaji is set to make another Amman film and it will reportedly have Trisha in the lead role. There is no official confirmation on the project yet.
