New Delhi: The Telangana Anti Narcotics Bureau in collaboration with Cyberabad police Special Operations Team (SOT) and Rajendra Nagar police have arrested five persons including Aman Preet Singh, brother of popular Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh, for their alleged involvement in cocaine consumption.
According to a Times of India report, the TG-Anti Narcotics Bureau (TG-ANB) in collaboration with Cyberabad police have arrested five drug peddlers, two of whom are African nationals, with 199 grams of cocaine. The operation also identified 13 people who were clients of the drug peddlers, six of whom have been arrested by the authorities.
The 13 consumers identified are: Aman, Kishan Rathi, Aniket, Yashwant, Rohit, Sri Charan, Prasad, Hemant, Nikhil, Madhu, Raghu, Krishnam Raju and Venkat. They have been charged but not arrested, reports the Times of India.
“On behalf of Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau, it is appealed to the youth/students to not fall in the trap of drugs and parents are requested to keep a check on the activities of their wards and do not hesitate in approaching police,” Telangana police said in a statement, as quoted by NDTV.
The arrested drug peddlers include two Nigerian nationals identified as Onuoha Blessing alias Joana Gomes and Azeez Nohim Adeshola, as well as three Indian nationals: Allam Satya Venkat Gautam, Sanaboina Varun Kumar and Mohammed Mehboob Sharif. The arrests were made in connection with the smuggling of 199 grams of cocaine in the city.
