Birthday boy This is the first film for both Bharat and Whiskey. They worked in the USA, put together their savings and decided to make a film inspired by real events. In a media interaction, the director revealed that the events that inspired this film took place in 2016, but it took him and Bharat four years to work on the film, starting in 2020.

The makers opted for sync sound to aim for a story as close to reality as possible and the film traces events that take place over 48 hours.
As for the quirky pseudonym Whiskey, the director says he has given himself this name in memory of his pet dog. The director’s public appearances wearing a mask have also caught people’s attention. To this, he said that his family members were not keen on him entering the film industry and hence, he made his appearance partially wearing a mask.
