Bollywood actors Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri and Amy Virk’s film Bad News has been released in theaters today i.e. on April 19. Vicky Kaushal’s film is not bad, but it is not a perfect romcom film. Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri and Amy Virk’s film may seem predictable and a little weird. Directed by Anand Tiwari, this film will make you laugh every time but the jokes don’t land well at many places.
The story begins with a cameo. After this you will be introduced to Saloni Baga i.e. Tripti Dimri. Saloni is a chef eyeing the Meraki Star (Oscar for Chef). Saloni attends various marriages on her mother’s advice so that she can find a good boy. After this Saloni meets Akhil Chadha i.e. Vicky Kaushal. Vicky Kaushal is playing the role of a boy from West Delhi. Akhil Chadha has a shoe shop in Karol Bagh.
What is the story of the film?
After this, in the film, you will get to see the romance of Saloni and Akhil, the first night of marriage, the romance and then the divorce conversation between the two. Saloni realizes that Akhil and her dreams are very different, so she separates from Akhil. After breaking up with Akhil, Saloni meets Gurbir Pannu (Amy Virk). Gurbir Pannu’s character is quiet and shy. He likes Saloni. Something happens between the two that shouldn’t happen.
The comedy in the film starts when Saloni finds out that she is pregnant after 6 months. Saloni does not know whether the father of the child is Akhil or Gurbir. Then Saloni learns that she is having twins and is carrying both Akhil and Gurbir’s children. This whole issue is called heteropaternal superfecundation. Now Akhil and Gurbir compete to prove who is the better father.
30 minutes of the second half can be boring
The first half of Bad News is very well written, but the 30 minutes of the second half seem forced. Talking about the dialogues of the film, they have been written in a funny style. The one liners will surely make you laugh. The screenplay of the movie is flawless, but still the movie has some flaws.
There was no chemistry between Vicky and Tripti
Saloni and Akhil’s love story lacks depth. Also, excessive lovemaking scenes between the two may bore you. Also you might not like the chemistry between the two. You might still like the friendship between Tripti and Amy.
Vicky Kaushal is seen bringing the swag in the film. At many places, Vicky Kaushal has handled the film alone. Along with this, Tripti Dimri looks troubled in most places in the film. You will not like Tripti’s acting in the film. Also, Amy Virk’s comic timing can make the audience happy.
There are some stereotypes in the film
There are certain stereotypes in this film that may make you feel that it would have been better if they were not in the film. In this film, you will definitely see references from other Bollywood films. Vicky Kaushal’s Tauba-Tauba is one of the best parts of the film.
