LOS ANGELES: Terblanche died last week in Los Angeles, according to online records from the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office, CNN reported.
“Esta was a kind, loving, generous and caring person,” Terblanche’s manager, Annie Spoliansky, said in a statement.
“She cared deeply for all people and animals,” Spoliansky’s statement said. “Esta has always been generous and loving to me, and I am grateful to have known her for so long, and am deeply saddened to learn of her passing.”
TerBlanche played Gillian Andressi Lavery on the popular ABC soap opera “All My Children” from 1997 to 2001.
She later reprised her role in an episode in 2011 and appeared in over 100 episodes.
Terblanche began working as an actress in South Africa, where she was born and raised, and moved to the United States in 1995.
In 1991 she was crowned Miss Teen South Africa, and between 1992 and 1995 she appeared as the character Bienecke Naude Hartman in South Africa’s first daytime soap opera “Egoli: Place of Gold.”
