Avika Gor, who is currently promoting her upcoming film Bloody Ishq, opens up about her relationship with Milind Chandwani On Harsh Limbachiyaa and Bharti Singh’s podcast show. The Balika Vadhu actress met her boyfriend in Hyderabad and fell in love with him at first sight. The actress also shared that she had married him in her mind. Sharing details of their first meeting and how Milind kept them friends for six months, Avika said, “He is a 9-5 corporate guy who also runs an NGO. We met each other through a common friend in Hyderabad. He friend-zoned me for six months. I started liking him from day one. I had complete trust in him. Initially, I also agreed to be friends. Mera bhi ego aa gaya ki hum to hum dost hi rahenge (I also got egoistic and said let’s just remain friends). But in a few weeks, I had complete trust in him,” she said.
Avika recalled that when she first introduced Milind to her family, the question of marriage came up immediately. “I introduced him as a friend, but a mother is a mother. He understood. I was involved in conversations with him and raising funds for his NGO!” Avika added, “I had already spoken up. He is very understanding. After six months, he told me, ‘Okay, I love you too!’ So I asked him ‘What was this six months of drama?’ And like a good boy, he explained to me that he doesn’t want to rush things and wants to see if we really like each other as friends and only then will we take things forward.”
Avika, who wants to get married as soon as possible, said Milind wants to take things slowly and in a more mature way. “If it was in my hands, I would have got married four and a half years ago. Kuch sochna nahi tha. Ab jo hai yahi hai. Mere dil me ho chukdi hai shaadi.” But he was quite understanding. He told me, “You are still 26 and I am 32. You take your time to work and see life,” he said.
Avika and Milind started dating in 2020. They keep posting their pictures regularly for their social media fans. Avika Gor became a household name after playing the character of Anandi in the serial Balika Vadhu. She also played the lead role in the serial Sasural Simar Ka. She worked in Telugu films like Lakshmi Rave Maa Intiki, Cinema Choopistha Mava, #Bro, Net.
