Knight died at a private residence on Friday, July 19. His autopsy has been scheduled, according to the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office.

About three hours after Slash announced Knight’s death, a selfie of Knight was posted on social media with a disturbing caption. Given that the post was shared after his death, social media users speculated that he had premeditated it.

In the photo, Knight can be seen looking away from the camera, with a serious expression on his face. The caption reads, “Whether I made you feel isolated, manipulated/controlled you, made you quit your job from the comfort of being financially supported by your parents, or drowned out the real issues in toxic positivity – I’m sorry. Countless opportunities and connections were missed due to a disgustingly big ego, insecure heart, and fear of being vulnerable. May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job of being Lucy-blue. Peace”.

‘This will be very shocking and difficult for their loved ones’

Many users commented on the post expressing their grief. “This is really sad to read, even for those who didn’t know her. Reading these comments it felt like she was way too hard on herself and she was so loved. Condolences to her family and friends. RIP Lucy Blue,” one user wrote. “I can’t believe you could schedule a post. This must be so shocking and hard for her loved ones. I’m so sad for all who loved her. This is so bad,” one user wrote, while another added, “You have now found the peace you were looking for. We, who were left behind, will miss you so much but you are free now.”

“My first friend in the tattoo world. Was blessed to know you and call you a good friend. I will always cherish the memories and times we spent together. Rest in peace, angel,” one of Knight’s friends wrote. “I love you so much. I will keep your artwork forever. And the road trip down south that never happened. You are a magical person who would text me “my psychologist kept calling your name” and then meet me hours later. You were so much fun and never showed me anything but absolute gentleness. Oh Lucy,” one user wrote, while another added, “This is so sad. My heart breaks for the pain she thought she inflicted. I will always treasure the artwork she received.”
