Deadpool and Wolverine stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman and director Shawn Levy gave the film a surprise screening in front of a crowd at Comic-Con. (Spoiler alert)
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman surprised fans at Comic-Con International in San Diego just a day before the release of their film Deadpool and Wolverine. The two stars joined director Shawn Levy and Marvel chief Kevin Feige to present a surprise screening of the film to the Hall H audience and talk about their association with the fan-favourite characters. According to a report DiversityThe special event was called The Ultimate Deadpool and Wolverine Celebration of Life. Taking the stage, Ryan said, “I was the most nervous human being you’ve ever seen. I was stepping into a dream come true in a certain sense, but I remember making that movie for you, and I remember how satisfying it was that everyone else liked it too. I feel like I was able to connect with you in a way that I really longed to connect with. And I’ll never forget this moment, because there was this bastard backstage…”

He pointed to Hugh Jackman, who then said, “I was standing right there. I saw the footage and this chant started: ‘One more time, one more time.’ I ran backstage and I found the stage manager, and I said, ‘Play the footage again. If you don’t play the footage again, they’re going to raze Hall H to the ground.'” Then suddenly, Ryan interrupted the conversation and asked for the film to be played for the audience. The two looked emotional after the screening, and were joined by stars like Dafne Keen, Jennifer Garner, Channing Tatum, Wesley Snipes and Chris Evans.
All of them reprise their previous roles – the faux superheroes, X23, Elektra, Gambit, Blade and the Human Torch.
Deadpool and Wolverine hits theaters this Friday, July 26th.
