New Delhi: The trailer of the much-awaited thriller ‘Uljhan’ has taken the internet by storm, receiving an overwhelming response from the audience. Adding to the excitement, the peppy party song ‘Shaukan’ featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Gulshan Devaiah has gone viral with its catchy tunes and adorable chemistry.
To celebrate, the team hosted a star-studded event, attended by Janhvi Kapoor, Roshan Mathew, director Sudhanshu Saria, composer Shashwat Sachdev and singer Jubin Nautiyal.
At the event, Janhvi performed the hook step of “Shaukaan” and talked about her viral dialogue from the film. Apart from this, the makers also gave the media a pre-listen to the upcoming song ‘Thoda Galat’ by Jubin Nautiyal.

The makers also played a melodious song ‘Aaja Oye’ which left the audience emotional. The event concluded with Shashwat Sachdev singing the patriotic song ‘Main Hoon Tera Ae Watan’. Director Sudhanshu Saria shared interesting facts about the film, after which music composer Shashwat Sachdev spoke about the music of Uljhan.
Talking about the song and the film, Janhvi Kapoor said, “I think after watching the trailer, every aspect of this film is worth watching. Uljhan is definitely something that was unexpected when I heard the script. When you all watch the film in theatres on August 2, you will feel very different than you expected. Hopefully, I am very happy, thrilled, entertained and excited about what we have worked so hard for. I hope the audience loves the film and the music.”
Talking about the music of the film, director Sudhanshu Saria said, “Films like Uljhan require a certain kind of music. The patriotism you are showing on screen is even more important than what the audience is hearing in terms of music. We have collectively tried to create a perfect blend. We have brought together different flavours of music, and the songs are very listener-friendly.
‘Shaukaan’ is something that will be played in clubs and parties; it is very suited for Gen Z and millennials, while ‘Ae Watan’ is a patriotic song that will appeal to audiences of all age groups. I hope people love it, and I thank Shashwat, Neha and Jubin and all the music artists for creating magic with their music in the film,” he added.
Jubin Nautiyal said, “It’s always great working with Shashwat. His compositions are always fresh and have something different to them. Working on ‘Thoda Galat’ and ‘Shaukaan’ was a great experience. Everyone who worked on the song, from the actors to the direction, composition, everything is perfect. I hope the audience likes it and I get to sing more such songs.”

‘Ulaaj’ presented by Junglee Pictures follows the journey of a young diplomat from an illustrious family of patriots who gets entangled in a dangerous personal conspiracy while holding an important career position, far from her home turf.
Ulaj will release in theatres on August 2, starring Janhvi Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Mathew, Meiyang Chang, Rajesh Tailang, Adil Hussain and Jitendra Joshi in lead roles.
