New Delhi:
Emraan Hashmi recently responded to Tanushree Dutta’s ‘brotherhood’ comment on their chemistry. You made me the lover In an interview Scoopwhoop. When asked about the impact the film will have on an entire generation, Emraan Hashmi was quick to quote Tanushree’s comment. He told ScoopWhoop, “Did you hear Tanushree’s statement three weeks ago? I don’t know if it was a verbatim statement or something. She said it was like ‘brotherhood’. I said, ‘What did the director tell her and what did she tell me?’ I had one story going on in my mind and she had another story going on in her mind. I was never told a story about incest. I don’t know what she was thinking, but okay.”
Last year, in an interview with Filmigyan, Tanushree had called her kissing scene with Imran ‘weird’ and said that their chemistry was like that of a brother and sister. She said, “Big and top actresses have done kissing, lovemaking scenes. No one says anything to them. Everyone has a problem with me whether I wear a short skirt or do a scene like that. It’s just acting. There was nothing personal between me and Imran. My chemistry with Imran is like that of a brother and sister. Really.”
Tanushree said, “For me, Imran has always been an actor right from day one. I have done three films with him. We even shot a kissing scene in ‘Chocolate’ but he didn’t keep it. The first time it was very awkward. The second time, the awkwardness subsided. Because personally, in real life, there is no chemistry between us. He has a kisser-boy image but he’s not the smoothest kisser. And neither am I.”
Tanushree Dutta worked with Emraan Hashmi in three films – Aashiq Banaya Aapne (2005), Chocolate: Deep Dark Secrets (2005) and Good Boy, Bad Boy (2007). However, the bold scenes of the film Aashiq Banaya Aapne were in the news at that time.
