Lakshya, who has made quite an impact since his debut in Bollywood StrikeRecently he spoke about his initial hesitation in facing the paparazzi. The actor, who was originally supposed to start his film innings with Dharma Productions. Dostana 2asked his PR if he could avoid posing for the paparazzi. News18 ShoshaLakshya said, “At that time I entered and I knew what I was doing Dostana 2 And I am part of Dharma, the paparazzi culture had just started. People were constantly being clicked everywhere.”
The actor further added, “You have your airport look, funeral look, basically every kind of look is being created. It made me wonder how I would be able to do all this because it involved a certain kind of strategy. I had never done all this. I remember telling my PR that it was okay if I decided not to do all this. I was stammering while telling her this too.”
Lakshya then shared how Karan Johar, who was in the same room, advised him not to worry about such “petty things”. “Karan sir was also in the same room and they both started laughing at me. They told me, ‘What’s wrong with you? We are launching you in a film and you are thinking about such trivial things!’ I explained to him that I was very worried about it because being on Instagram and being there is not natural for me. He understood and then told me that I just have to be true to myself and I shouldn’t try to portray a certain image or speak like someone else. And that stayed with me for all these years. His words really touched my heart,” the actor said.
Released on 5 July. Strike It also stars Raghav Juyal and Tanya Maniktala in lead roles. The film is directed by Nikhil Bhatt and produced by Karan Johar, Guneet Monga, Apoorva Mehta and Achint Jain under the banners of Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment.
Strike It premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September last year, where it was the first runner-up for the People’s Choice Award: Midnight Madness. The film was also screened at the Tribeca Film Festival in June this year.
