Actors Vedang Raina and Khushi Kapoor, who debuted with “The Archies” last year, are hoping to work together again on a project.
Raina and Kapoor turned showstoppers for designer Gaurav Gupta’s latest collection “Arunoday” at the India Couture Week last night.
Kapoor graced the stage wearing a silver lehenga with an off-shoulder blouse, cape-style sleeves and a mermaid skirt. The crystal-studded lehenga had delicate silver zardozi embroidery and pearl work. To complete the look, she kept her hair open and wore heavy statement jewellery.
Kapoor, 23, who made her runway debut with Gupta’s show, said she felt comfortable with the actor after “The Archies.”
“Yeah, 100 percent! I think when you’re comfortable with a person, things become less daunting and you’re not as nervous because you’re comfortable with the other person. So definitely,” he said.
Raina, 24, wore an elegant black sherwani with black pants. He said that he and Kapoor have known each other for a long time and there is a certain level of comfort between them.

On working together again, he said: “Yes, definitely!”
He said, “I think we have known each other for a long time and there is a lot of comfort between us, there is comfort on the set, there is comfort in our camaraderie. We would definitely like to work together in a film.”
Gupta’s collection included futuristic designed gowns, saris, lehengas and tops and skirts for women, while for men it included sherwanis, kurtas and formal wear.
Colours ranged from maroon to silver, white, grey and black, and most looks were complemented with heavy jewellery.
Gupta, who had earlier presented his collection at the Paris Haute Couture Week, called the actors a charming couple and believes they are the “future faces of India”.
“Khushi and Vedang are a very sweet couple and you can feel the love with them. They are so adorable. I think they are the future faces of India.” Talking about her collection she said, “It is all about light. We have used a lot of zardosi, pearls, embroidery and futuristic shapes.”
Raina and Kapoor’s debut film “The Archies” was released on December 7 last year. Star kids Suhana Khan and Agastya Nanda also made their debut with this film.
India Couture Week 2024 began on July 24 and will end on July 31. Designers such as Rahul Mishra, Jayanti Reddy, Dolly J, Amit Aggarwal and JJ Valaya have already showcased their collections and Falguni Shane Peacock is the final designer.
