Arjun Rampal, who decided to separate from his ex-wife Mehr Jessia after two decades of marriage, opened up about his divorce, getting married early and the introspection that followed. Ranveer Show Podcast. Housefull The actor shared that he went through a void after the separation. He also added that his daughters Mahikaa, Myra from his first marriage, ex-wife Mehr share a cordial relationship with his current girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades. Talking about getting married at the age of 24, Arjun said on the show, “When I was young, I came from a broken home, and for me not being successful in marriage was something that I really had to look back on and see how it went wrong and how I didn’t see… Then I realised why it went wrong and what things were, and I take responsibility for it. Today, we are all very close to each other and love each other…”
Arjun said, “I got married at the age of 24 and I think it is too early; you are so young and there is so much to learn and experience. You have to mature. Men mature much slower than women. It is a proven fact that we are fools. If you want to succeed in this (marriage), wait.”
Talking about his divorce and his fault, Arjun said, “It’s human nature to blame someone else, to make excuses. But this crisis has happened for some other reason. It happens because it wasn’t working, because you are sad and unhappy. And if you can’t look inward and try to find more happiness, that’s the time when it’s going to crack and break.” When asked about the feeling after coming out of a marriage, Arjun said, “Yes, it does feel lonely. You suddenly feel like you’re independent, but you feel uncomfortable, you’re not at ease. You miss the stability, coming back home and of course the food.”
Recently, Arjun Rampal celebrated the birthday of both his sons Arik and Aariv along with his daughters Mahikaa and Myra. Gabriella shared inside pictures and videos of the delicious-looking dish. In her caption, she wrote, “My two sons, two days apart. Happy 1st birthday to baby Aariv and 5th birthday to Aarik. What a day.” Take a look:
