Now the film Uljh directed by Sudhanshu Sariya has released this Friday. So if you are also planning to watch this movie then first of all read this review how is this movie.
The story of Uljh is based on a young, bright Suhana Bhatia who comes from a large and influential family. His grandfather’s name is written on the school books. Suhana is a young Deputy High Commissioner with the sword of nepotism hanging over her head. The story revolves around carrying on your family’s legacy and facing challenges to their privilege.
review
‘Ulj’ attempts to comment on nepotism, mistreatment of women in the workplace, international conflict. The film becomes quite serious about these issues. The point of the intermission will surprise you, but after the second half you will realize that it should be made as a web series. The problem with films based on inter-country conflicts is that they are meant to be taken seriously, but still rely on convenience to advance the plot. 2 characters escape from intelligence officials and reach India from London and no one can trace them. While one man easily breaks the security of the Prime Minister.
performance
Janhvi has done her best. She is seen overshadowing everyone in every scene. Janhvi’s performance makes it clear that nepotism doesn’t mean she has no talent. Parvez Shaikh and Sudhanshu’s writing has helped a lot in fleshing out Janhvi’s character. There is a dialogue in the film that what will this goat do now, after which the camera focuses on Janhvi’s face and she says that she will eat all the halwa.
Gulshan Devaiah’s work in the supporting cast is also very good. You will love his lines in the climax. Adil Hussain had only a few scenes, but in the last scene when he plays a concerned father, it is quite amazing. Roshan Mathew should have got more screen time. Miang Cheng got a good view that was quite small.
