Chris Evans reprises the superhero character Johnny Storm in Marvel’s Deadpool and Wolverine after a 17-year hiatus.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor Chris Evans said returning as Johnny Storm in Marvel’s ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is an experience he will never forget.
The actor took to Instagram Story to express his gratitude to the cast and director of the film for giving him the opportunity to play a superhero after a gap of 17 years.
“Thank you to Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and Shawn Levy for letting me be a part of such a great movie!” Evans wrote. “They are three of the nicest people you will ever meet. Special thanks to Ryan for making this all possible. Getting to play Johnny again was a dream come true and I will always have a special place in my heart for him.”

The “Ghosted” star also uploaded a photo of himself standing with three people on the set of “Deadpool & Wolverine.”
Evans is best recognized for his role as Steve Rogers/Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, before his exit in 2019’s “Avengers: Endgame,” so some fans forget that he previously played another superhero for several years. He played Johnny Storm in the films “Fantastic Four” (2005) and “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer” (2007).
When Evans appeared in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ alongside Reynolds and Jackman’s characters, many expected him to play the multiverse version of Captain America. However, it is soon revealed that he is a version of Johnny Storm, and he continues to fly in the sky as the Human Torch, which even Deadpool is surprised by.
