New Delhi: Hussain, who starred opposite Sridevi in the acclaimed 2012 film “English Vinglish”, praised Kapoor’s dedication and honesty on the sets.
Kapoor has been making headlines for her impressive choice of roles, and her latest film ‘Devra’ is no exception. The release of the song ‘Dheere Dheere’ from the film has further intrigued the audience, highlighting Kapoor’s emerging talent and mystery. Fans are also buzzing about her pairing with Jr NTR, drawing comparisons to the iconic on-screen pairing of NTR and Sridevi.
In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Hussain went down memory lane working with Kapoor, remembering her as a little girl who would often come to the sets with her mother. “Working with Janhvi brings back a lot of memories because I met her many times when she would come to the sets with her mother Sridevi,” Hussain said. He described Kapoor’s presence as a calm and dignified echo of her mother’s approach to acting.
Hussain said Kapoor’s dedication and focus on set reflected the qualities he admired in Sridevi. “What I noticed about her is that she probably drew inspiration from her mother, who was a great example of what an actor should be like on set – totally focused, calm, honest and at the same time very spontaneous, revealing her own innocence through the character. These were very attractive elements that I saw in her,” he said.
