Disney+ Hotstar has now announced the third season of its hit web series Kana kanum kalangal. Originally aired as a television serial on Star Vijay the series revolves around school students and their school life.
The series is a reboot of the 2006 television series of the same name and is set to premiere in 2022, after the second season arrived earlier this year in April.
“Like the first and second seasons, this series will attempt to showcase and present all the joys, tears, fears, wonders, pains and excitements of present-day students through its engaging and entertaining storyline,” read a statement issued by the makers.
More details about the cast of the new season are expected to be announced soon. The series stars Teja Venkatesh, Raja Vetri Prabhu, Arvind Seju, Deepika Venkatachalam and Ashique Gopinath. The rest of the cast includes VJ Sangeetha, Irfan, Rajesh, Bharat Kumar, Deepika Damu, Akshatha Ajith, Pranikaa, Pragatheesh, Egan, VJ Kalyani, Surender KPY and Pervez Musharraf. The first season had 132 episodes while the second season had 112 episodes.
The original serial aired on television from 2006 to 2009. Due to the success of the show, a sequel was made Kana Kaanum Kalangal Kallooriyin Kadhai Later another sequel of the serial was made named Kallori Saale Was also made.
