The 2024 NFL season is set to begin in just a few days, and it’s already all about Taylor Swift. Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs has confirmed that his pop star girlfriend has tried her hand at making plays for his team.
Kelce spoke about Swift’s contributions on “The Rich Eisen Show” on Tuesday, which came on the heels of Patrick Mahomes’ recent comments in which he said he’s formulating a game plan.
The boyfriend of the record-breaking Eras Tour artist said, “She’s very open to learning the game.” Praising her attention to detail, the Chiefs tight end said that even if Swift doesn’t fully understand the rules, she’s still “curious about the profession.”
Even Patrick Mahomes has seen Taylor Swift play for the Chiefs
Likewise, quarterback and last season’s Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes elaborated on Taylor’s devoted involvement. “She’s genuinely interested in football, and she asks a lot of great questions,” Mahomes said in a recent interview with NBC’s Chris Simms.

Mahomes even suggested he might eventually have to include one of his bets, pointing out just how great Swift has been at marking the X’s and O’s on the game board.
However, while the “Anti-Hero” singer’s draft pick has received approval from Kelce and Mahomes, she still hasn’t received the green light from Chiefs head coach Andy Reid.
Still, Kelce is already assuring the crowd that if they ever get to Reid, he’ll make sure she makes a name for herself with her creations. “She’s a little biased and just makes up plays for me, so we’ll see if they get to Coach Reid’s office.”
Defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City will host the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, September 5. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey’s relationship took the Internet by storm, especially last season, when many moments of the couple’s love story seemed to pull a page out of a romantic novel — from sharing a romantic kiss after the Chiefs’ big Super Bowl LVIII winning moment to traveling around the world to capture each other’s main character moments and what not.

NFL enthusiasts didn’t like the promo for the new game season much, which featured Taylor Swift more than many other players.
In contrast, a new promo for the upcoming NFL season has left many fans of the sport disappointed. Football enthusiasts were complaining about the video editors, who did not include several high-profile players such as C.J. Stroud of the Houston Texans, Jordan Love of the Green Bay Packers and Matthew Strafford of the LA Rams. The video mostly features Swift, who appears with Kelce’s mom, Donna, or her boyfriend five times in the 28-second clip.
The “Taylor Swift hype video,” as one user called it on X/Twitter, is already raising questions about whether the “Lavender Haze” singer will be back in the stands to support her man. As of now, her schedule is already wide open, as she won’t step onto the Eras Tour stage in Miami until October 18, leaving plenty of room for her to headline her appearances at NFL games.
