Selena Gomez shared her heartfelt bond with Benny Blanco, revealing her health struggles and excitement about future motherhood.
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s love for one another is natural. Gomez said she has “never found love like that” as she is now in a relationship with Blanco. In an interview with Vanity Fair on Monday, September 9, Gomez elaborated on her relationship with the music producer, revealing that she cannot have children.

Speaking about her relationship with Blanco in an interview with Vanity Fair, she said, “I’ve never been loved like this. He’s just like a light. An absolute light in my life. He’s my best friend. I love telling him everything.” Gomez also mentioned Beau Blanco’s interview with Howard Stern in May, where he hinted at tying the knot with the Same Old Love singer.
When Stern revealed that he hoped the two would get married soon, Blanco replied, “You and me both.” Referring to this interview segment, Gomez told the media outlet, “He can’t lie. After the interview, I was dying laughing. Like, ‘Did you want to tell me anything else?'”
Last month, the couple sparked engagement rumors when the singer posted a selfie in which she covered her left ring finger with a pink heart emoji. She also followed a wedding planner on TikTok soon after the engagement rumors. The two sparked dating rumors in December 2023 after working together on music, reports Page Six.

Selena Gomez shares her health concerns
Gomez opened up about her family plans and her health issues amid the engagement controversy. She also discussed her 2013 diagnosis of lupus and kidney transplant, as well as her mental health issues. “I never said this, but unfortunately I can’t have children of my own. I have a number of medical conditions that could put my life and the baby’s life at risk. That was something I had to grieve for a while,” she told the media outlet.
However, the Kill ‘Em With Kindness singer said adoption and surrogacy have opened the door to “bigger possibilities” for her. She added, “It’s made me really grateful for other outlets for people who are longing to be moms. I’m one of those people. I’m excited about what that journey will be like, but it will look a little different.”
