Though the Kansas City Chiefs star wasn’t able to accompany Swift to her historic day at the MTV VMAs, the pop star made sure he got the credit he deserved. “Everything the human touches turns into joy, fun and magic, and I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot,” the TTPD singer said while accepting the trophy for the Fortnite video.

Swift explained how grateful she was for Kelce’s upbeat vibes and being with her all day on the film set, remembering how he would always lift her spirits and make things more enjoyable for everyone around. She also talked about being in charge of the video and thanked all the crew members, including Post Malone, with whom she was seen enjoying drinks during the performance.

Taylor Swift continued to dominate the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards nominations, earning a total of 12 nominations including Song of the Year, Video of the Year, and several technical categories. Fortnite, a song from her album The Tortured Poets Department with Post Malone, received a whopping eight nominations for the night.
Swift and Post Malone won the award for Best Collaboration for Fortnite. The pop star won a record-breaking 30 Moon Person trophies on Tuesday night. The win helped Swift surpass Beyoncé’s streak of 25 wins in Moon Person, setting a new benchmark. She is now the first artist to win the Video of the Year award five times.

The singer made a grand entrance on music’s biggest night wearing a punk-inspired ensemble from Dior’s 2025 resort collection. Shortly after, she was spotted heading backstage, where she debuted a new UFO-inspired look and danced the night away with friends, including Katy Perry. She was also seen grooving to Eminem’s nostalgic performance and cheering for Sabrina Carpenter.
Following her acceptance speech, in which she also paid tribute to the victims of 9/11, the pop star, who recently endorsed Kamala Harris for the presidential race, took the opportunity to encourage the public to vote. Although she walked the red carpet alone – Page Six confirmed that Kelce, 34, was unable to attend due to work commitments – she sent them a heartfelt message.
“Hopefully Taylor can win some awards! She’s nominated for about 10 of them tonight,” Travis said on the New Heights podcast with his brother Jason. “Hopefully, she can win some Moonmen awards. Those are some cool trophies.” Jason added, “Come on, Tay! Come on, Tay!”
