BTS Suga fined in DUI case

On September 10, it was revealed that Suga had been summarily convicted and fined by Criminal Division 2 of the Seoul Western District Prosecutors Office. Subsequently, media outlets reported on the fine; However, this figure remained unconfirmed, and he has now received an official punishment.

According to KoreaTimes, the Seoul Court issued a summary order on August 6, 2024, imposing a fine of â‚©15 million KRW (about $11,200 USD) for driving an electric scooter while intoxicated. This amount matches the prosecution’s first request made on September 11. A summary order is usually issued for less serious cases. If Suga wants to challenge it, he has seven days from the order to request a formal trial.

But so far, the Daechvita rapper, officially known by Min Yoongi, has been let off after appearing at the police station a few times and apologizing after being accused of driving an electric scooter while intoxicated last month. His blood alcohol level at that time was 0.227%.
