Mumbai: The release date of Rishabh Shetty’s much awaited film ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ has been announced.
Speaking to X, the makers announced the release date of the film. This film will be released on the big screen on 2 October 2025.
Sharing an interesting poster, Rishabh Shetty captioned it, “The moment has arrived. The divine forest whispers. Kantara Chapter 1 Worldwide Grand Release on October 2, 2025. #KantaraChapter1onOct2 #Kantara.”

Actor Rishabh Shetty has put his heart and soul into his upcoming film ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’. Earlier, he had shared a glimpse of his intense training on his Instagram.
In the post, she can be seen deeply focused during her Kalaripayattu session and the dedication on her face says it all. The actor kept the caption simple by just adding a heart-shaped emoticon.
Rishabh also won the prestigious National Award for Best Actor for ‘Kantara’. Written and directed by Shetty, ‘Kantara’ became a pan-India hit in 2022.
On receiving the National Award for the film, he earlier told ANI, “This has been possible because of my entire team. I am just the face of the film, it’s all because of their hard work. The production house, the DOP, the technicians, it It’s all because of him.”
He also expressed gratitude towards his fans and said, “I want to thank the people of Karnataka. I would like to thank the National Awards panel for recognizing this film. People have made this film a hit, I am very happy.” Dedicate this victory to the people of Karnataka.”
Set in a fictional village in Dakshina Kannada, ‘Kanthara’ is the story of Shetty’s character, who plays a Kambala champion, who comes face to face with an honest forest range officer. Kantara also won the award for ‘Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment’.
Rishabh is now preparing for ‘Kantara Chapter 1’.
