Angelina Jolie’s alleged boyfriend, Akala poured a bucket of cold water on dating rumors between him and the actor. He recently attended the Rosewood London Hotel’s Christmas party but he wasn’t alone. While many expected Jolie to join him at the event, he appeared at the party with Chanelle Newman and introduced her as his “girlfriend” to fellow guests.

Akala denies dating rumors with Jolie
After months of dating speculations, recent reports revealed that Akala and Jolie’s relationship is just friendly and Chanel is good friends with the actor. A source tells People that the trio “all work together” and the filmmaker is at Akala and Jolie’s “every event.”
“He and Akala are not dating,” the source tells People. She’s a friend of his and his partner Chanelle, who was also there.” He shared that the two have been friends for ‘many years’ and ‘share the same passion when it comes to social and humanitarian causes.’ The once-speculated pair have done several collaborations over the years that focused on global issues like human rights, the insider said. Angie speaks very well of him.”
Akala and Jolie have been spotted together at several events such as the London premiere of their upcoming film Maria. He was also present at parties for his brand-Atelier Jolie, as well as promotional events for the film in New York City and Venice, the Daily Mail reports.

Jolie and Akala dating rumors
Rumors of a budding romance between the British rapper and the Hollywood actor first sparked in May when In Touch reported that the two of you “have been dating for over a year.” Earlier in August, during the Venice Film Festival, the two were reportedly seen leaving Jolie’s Venice hotel, sparking rumors of their romance again.
Meanwhile, Jolie is also embroiled in a legal battle with her ex Brad Pitt over their French winery, Chateau Miraval, amid their eight-year-long divorce. The latter sued the Maleficent actor for selling her half of the winery for $67 million without informing her on October 21. After several years of dating and two years of marriage, the two went their separate ways. They also have six children – sons Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, and Knox, 16, and daughters Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and Vivienne, 16.
