Travis Kelce also said Taylor Swift’s hit song Blank Space was a song he could listen to for “the rest of my life”.

Travis Kelce is opening up about how over time he started liking one of Taylor Swift’s songs. During a bonus episode of the New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother, Jason, the Chiefs tight end explained how he “absolutely learned to love” the song Death by a Thousand Cuts.

The Kansas City Chiefs star revealed that he “fell in love” with the tenth track from Swift’s Lover album after seeing it perform during the Tiny Desk Concert by NPR in 2019, the same year the album was released. However, they got the radio network abbreviation right, saying NRP instead of NPR, which stands for National Public Radio.

Elsewhere on the podcast, Kelce talked about other Swift songs she loves. After a viewer asked him to choose a song he could “listen to for the rest of my life”, the NFL star chose the second track from 1989, his fifth studio album released in 2014. “‘Blank Space’ is the song I’ll always listen to,” he said, adding, “It’s just incredible, everything about it.”

Shortly after the podcast episode came out, fans rushed to the 2019 video to “re-watch” Swift’s performance of Death by a Thousand Cuts. One fan commented, “Who’s watching this again after Travis mentioned it,” while another said, “Just had to watch this again after Travis said he saw it!”

Another user confessed, “I came here because Travis said he watched and fell in love with Death by a Thousand Cuts.” “Always love a reason to see this show again! Thanks, Trav,” a fourth user added.
