The decision to allow higher ticket prices for Pushpa 2 has been criticized by film lovers and many netizens have questioned the decision on social media. On Friday (November 29), the Telangana government allowed additional shows and increased ticket prices for the upcoming film “Pushpa 2: The Rule”. The film starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna will release on December 5, 2024.

According to the order issued by Ravi Gupta, Special Chief Secretary, Telangana Home Department, a benefit show will be shown in theaters in the state on December 4, 2024. The ticket price of this show will be increased by Rs 800. Meanwhile, two additional shows will be shown on December 5 at 1 am and 4 am.

Increase in single-screen theaters and multiplexes

From December 5 to December 8, single-screen theaters have been allowed to increase ticket prices by ₹150, and multiplexes/IMAX have been allowed to increase prices by ₹200. From December 9 to December 16, single-screen theaters may increase prices by ₹105, and multiplexes/IMAX may charge an additional ₹150. Finally, from December 17 to December 23, single-screen theaters have been allowed to increase prices by ₹20, and multiplexes/IMAX have been allowed to charge an additional ₹50.

The order further said that GST will be applicable on all these prices.

Kushalkumar Thadem said on Platform Want to force. Last month Devara had also done the same, people had boycotted the theatres. So, don’t take people lightly and don’t change ticket rates.

Another netizen tagged a private bank and asked for a loan to book tickets. “I would like to apply for a personal loan to buy Pushpa tickets for my family. Please tell me what is the interest rate?” User wrote on

Many people on the forum expressed their anger and said that they would rather wait for the OTT release of the film instead of spending huge amounts of money to watch it in theatres.
