Streaming platform ZEE5 on Tuesday (December 3) released the trailer of its much-awaited original film dispatchThe title is of Manoj Bajpayee. Directed by Kanu Behl, the film will premiere on the platform on December 13.
The trailer features Manoj as Joy Bag, a crime journalist who gets into trouble while attempting to expose the 2G spectrum scam. Joey soon realizes that he may be in over his head when he discovers a corrupt network of powerful people who threaten to silence him.
“Crime journalist Joey Bag sets out on a dangerous journey to uncover the truth behind a horrific scandal, unknowingly putting his life in grave danger. Faced with increasing threats from unknown enemies urging her to drop the case, Joey searches for a breaking story. becomes a dangerous game. But as the stakes rise, Joey finds himself caught in a bigger storm than he ever expected. Dispatches explores Joy’s turbulent struggle as she navigates the complex sea of media corruption, power struggles and personal hardships. dispatch It premiered at the MAMI Film Festival 2024, before screening at the 55th International Film Festival of India. The film also stars Shahana Goswami, Archita Agarwal, Ritu Parna Sen, Dilip Shankar, Riju Bajaj and others in supporting roles.
In a statement, Manoj said that he is sure that the film will keep the audience glued to the screens. He said, “I have prepared intensely for this role and Kanu is a tough taskmaster who has pushed us beyond our comfort to give our best, so we are hopeful that this film will strike a chord with the audience and give us Will inspire you to do better.” Said.

Our goal was not just to make a thriller, but to dive into the flawed, human side of investigative journalism – to show the raw, bitter truth behind the headlines. Once the script was ready, little did we know that no one other than Manoj Bajpayee could bring the character of Joy Bag to life – and he is by no means brilliant in the film.
