Highlighting iconic destinations across the country, the Chennai-based artist’s digital illustrations are drawn in pen and ink style, filled with soft watercolour. In Stories in Stone, artist Preeti Bhatnagar highlights the watercolor paintings of architectural heritage buildings that she has created throughout the year. “Since I live in Stockholm, I recently felt a passion for painting beautiful windows, latticeand arched openings. The Chennai-based brand’s SOL 2025 desktop calendar celebrates nature and the greenery that is part of life. Co-founder Avanti Natarajan says the hand-painted calendar “zooms deeper into the small parts that make up Thottam (Home): Banana plants, garden of mango and pomegranate trees, roses, starry orange Kanakambarameye catching Pavazhamalli Flowers and infinite botanical poetry that make it an oasis in a home. It features 12 Tamil words selected by writer-lyricist Madhan Karky, and the English words, Tamil transliteration and a quote appear on each page.

This year, artist Srishti Prabhakar has launched two calendars: a wall calendar based on doors from around the world, and a desk calendar based on Madras. She says, “The first is a series of 12 painted doors in the form of a wall/desk calendar with a set of postcards, and the latter is a city-based calendar that I have designed for the third time in a row.” To put together the calendar chose less popular stories and places from Madras of the 1960s-80s. “It reflects ordinary places, and is an extension of my daily thumbnails of the city series I created in 2021,” says Srishti. “It has been tried and tested among other neurodivergent peers.”
