Telugu actor Allu Arjun has been arrested by the police in connection with the stampede that took place during the premiere of his film. Pushpa 2 A 39-year-old woman died in the incident that took place at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad on December 4. On Friday, Allu Arjun was arrested from his residence in Hyderabad and taken to Chikkadpally police station. A video of the arrest surfaced online, showing the actor leaving his house and walking towards a police car.
His father Allu Aravind, brother Allu Sirish and wife Sneha Reddy were present during the arrest. Before entering the car, Allu Arjun was seen drinking coffee and talking to his wife. He also talked to the police briefly before kissing his wife’s cheeks and walking towards the police car.

Allu Arjun had earlier approached the High Court seeking quashing of the FIR filed against him. After his arrest, he requested an urgent trial. A 35-year-old woman named Revathi died and her son was injured in the stampede, prompting the police to investigate. So far, three people including the actor have been arrested in connection with this incident.
Chikkadapalli Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) L. Confirming the arrest, Ramesh Kumar said, “Yes, he (Allu Arjun) has been arrested.” The actor was brought to Chikkadpally police station for questioning. His family members including father Allu Aravind, brother Allu Sirish and father-in-law Kancharala Chandrasekhar Reddy were present during the proceedings.
After this tragedy, Allu Arjun expressed deep grief. During the film’s success meet on December 7, he said, “The incident that happened at Sandhya theater is very unfortunate. I am shocked. It took me hours to process it and respond to it. We were all in shock when we heard this news. Was in.” He also assured his support to the grieving family while announcing a contribution of Rs 25 lakh and coverage for the medical expenses of the injured son.
