New Delhi: Actor Varun Dhawan expressed his admiration for superstar Salman Khan and opened up about the impact of Khan’s role in the upcoming film Baby John.
During a press conference in New Delhi, Dhawan shared his experience of working with Salman Khan, saying, “It’s amazing. I think whenever you get to work with such a big superstar, a megastar, such a generous human being. Get a chance to do it. Amazing.”
Salman Khan is set to play a special role in the film. Dhawan revealed that Khan’s role is unique and promises to have a lasting impact.
“This is a completely original character created for him by Atlee sir. There is nothing like this character that has been seen before. I will not reveal much about his role, but one thing I can say is that The impact of his role will be long-lasting,” added the Badrinath Ki Dulhania actor.
Baby John is directed by A. It is directed by Kaliswaran and stars Keerthy Suresh, Vamika Gabbi, Jackie Shroff and Rajpal Yadav in lead roles. This film is the Hindi film debut of Keerthy Suresh. Atlee is presenting this film in association with Jio Studios and Cine1 Studios.
Dhawan, who plays a father in the film, discussed the relevance of his role, which shows a range of emotions from being a police officer to falling in love with Keerthy Suresh’s character.
“Becoming a father, especially to a daughter, is a transformative experience. It changes your perspective. When I became a father, I remembered my mother’s teachings and I realized that my wife Natasha Dalal’s behavior Seeing that I can be rude to them at any time.” Takes care of our daughter, it’s been a crazy and amazing journey,” Dhawan shared.

Dhawan and Natasha Dalal, who married in an intimate ceremony in 2021, welcomed their first child on June 3 this year.
Baby is an adaptation of John Atlee’s 2016 Tamil film Theri, starring Vijay and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Dhawan explained the differences between the two versions.
“When Atlee came up with this project, he stressed the need not to remake the story but to adapt it. We have changed the geography and many angles of the story. It ranges from parenting, women’s safety and real events. Inspired is an adaptation focused on an important case. If anyone expects a scene-by-scene remake, they will be disappointed.”
He also spoke about his passion for action films and how Baby John allowed him to explore innovative action sequences. “You will see a lot of creative action in the film. I am crazy about martial arts, and MMA fans will see some flying knee moves. There are also one or two wrestling moves inspired by WWE. I want to do more action films but every time they “Approach in a different way.”
Baby John’s song Bandobast was launched recently. Composed and sung by Thaman S with Mame Khan, with lyrics by Irshad Kamil, the song raises the anticipation towards the film.
The trailer of Baby John was unveiled at a grand event earlier this month. Packed with massive action, the trailer showcased Dhawan’s versatility playing the roles of a police officer, a father and a romantic lead. Jackie Shroff looked menacing as the villain, while Vamika Gabbi also played an important role.
The trailer concludes with a surprise cameo by Salman Khan. Although his face was covered with a black cloth, a glance into his eyes left an indelible impression. The trailer ends with Salman wishing everyone a “Merry Christmas” in advance.
Baby John is produced by Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee and Jyoti Deshpande. Directed by A Kaliswaran and presented by Atlee, the film will release on December 25.
