American premium cable network HBO has ordered a second season. Dune: Prophecy, Denis Villeneuve’s blockbuster prequel series dune Movies.
Also starring Bollywood star Tabu, the six-episode series takes place 10,000 years before the events of Frank Herbert’s seminal novel Dune, which was recently adapted in two parts by Villeneuve.
The show’s renewal for season two comes ahead of the premiere of the final episode, which will air on December 22 on HBO. The show streams on JioCinema in India.

Alison Schapker is the showrunner and executive producer along with Dianne Ademu-John, who co-developed the series. It is co-produced by HBO and Legendary Television.
