Story: A family vacationing in La Palma is thrown into chaos after a volcanic eruption
Fredrick feels that priorities have changed for Jennifer after she started yoga and daily workouts. Jennifer feels that Frederick is not putting any effort into himself or the relationship. Sarah is drying off in her room, while Tobias, who is on the autism spectrum, wants everything to be as it should be.
On the island, Marie (Thea Sophie Loch Ness), who is pursuing a doctorate at the La Palma Geological Institute studying the water for geological clues, discovers an anomaly. Their findings point to volcanic activity that would cause the mountainside to collapse into the ocean and cause a tsunami, causing destruction on an unimaginable scale.
While Mary’s co-worker, Haukur (Olafur Darri Olafsson), believes that his boss, Álvaro (Jorge de Juan), demands more data. Haukur explains that Alvaro’s hesitation was because the last time a volcano erupted in 2021, it almost cost him his job due to a tsunami warning.

Marie and her brother, Eric (Amund Harbo) suffer the 2004 tsunami, which leaves them injured in different ways. Things come to a head with a volcano erupting, a falling out between Eric and Mary, and Sarah meeting handsome Charlie (Jenny Evensen).
Due to the Canary Islands being a popular holiday destination, embassies around the world are monitoring the situation in La Palma. At the Norwegian Embassy, Jens (Thorbjorn Haar), Jennifer’s brother, tries to warn Jennifer to leave before the official announcement of the evacuation, in order to cause chaos and panic.
