BJP leader Anurag Singh Thakur criticized some leaders of the ruling Congress in Telangana for their comments about actor Allu Arjun and urged the Congress to stop its members from making statements that could damage the reputation of the Telugu film industry. The former Union Minister expressed concern over negative comments and their potential to undermine these achievements. “The South Indian film industry, especially Telugu cinema, has brought Indian cinema to international prominence. Unfortunately, such baseless statements threaten to tarnish this reputation,” Thakur told PTI video.
He also pointed out that Allu Arjun was honored with the National Award during the tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government when Thakur was the Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting.
Thakur questioned the political intentions behind the criticism and cautioned that such comments could damage the reputation of the industry and artistes.

Thakur, who was in Hyderabad for the birth centenary celebrations of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment towards good governance and development.
