Bollywood actors and directors paid tribute to veteran poet, producer, writer and journalist Pritish Nandy, who passed away on January 08, 2025 (Wednesday) in Mumbai at the age of 73. Pritish Nandy’s son Kushan Nandy confirmed the demise of the renowned filmmaker.
Director Sudhir Mishra, whose highly acclaimed film thousands of wishes like this ,2003,Thanked Nandi for changing his life. “He taught me a lot. Only he can do ‘thousands of wishes like this’. Sorry Pritish da, I couldn’t think of any idea for the sequel,”they wrote X.

Actor Anupam Kher expressed grief over Nandi’s demise by posting a post. xDescribed him as a ‘fearless’ artist and a source of strength during his years of struggle. Nandi is survived by his wife Reena and children Kushan, Ishita and Rangita.
