IMDb, the world’s leading platform for film, TV and celebrity information, has released the list of most anticipated Indian movies for 2025 based on page views from its 250 million monthly users worldwide. Leading the much-awaited lineup is ‘Sikander’, starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna and directed by AR Murugadoss. Scheduled to release on Eid, the film promises to be a grand cinematic spectacle.
Sikander is the most awaited film of 2025

The IMDb list includes 20 films from multiple languages, including 11 Hindi films, three each from Tamil and Telugu, two Kannada titles and one Malayalam production. After Sikandar, Yash’s ‘Toxic’ and Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj are at second and third place respectively in the list.
Sequels like Housefull 5 and Baaghi 4 occupied the fourth and fifth positions. Other notable inclusions are Prabhas’ horror-comedy ‘The Raja Saab’, Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s action-packed ‘War 2’, and Mohanlal’s much-awaited sequel ‘L2: Empuraan’.
