Film personalities and politicians including West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Arvind Kejriwal and Chiranjeevi expressed grief over the attack on Saif Ali Khan’s house in Mumbai and many others raised questions over the lawlessness in the city.
The 54-year-old actor, who was injured after he was attacked with a knife by an intruder at his Bandra home around 2.30 am on Thursday, was admitted to the hospital and underwent surgery. His representative said, he is out of danger.
Banerjee and Kejriwal wished the actor a speedy recovery in their social media posts.

Actress Pooja Bhatt tagged Mumbai Police in a post and questioned the “lawlessness” in the city, which is home to many celebrities as well as top industrialists.
He said, “Can this anarchy be curbed? We need more police presence in Bandra. The city and especially the queen of the suburbs have never felt so unsafe before.”
Telugu star Jr NTR, who recently shared screen space with Saif in the Telugu hit Devara: Part 1He said he was shocked and saddened to hear about the attack on Saif.

The actor’s representatives described the incident as an “attempted theft”, although police have yet to comment. A senior police officer said that no person has been arrested yet. After Khan’s medical procedure, his team said that the actor has come out of the surgery and is out of danger.
