Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has credited the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards to take Indian cinema on a global stage.
“This is a wonderful achievement leading Indian cinema … It’s a good time with IIFA, and I pray for them (organizers) they take Indian cinema global, put it on stage , Which makes us relevant worldwide, “Khan told reporters here at the IIFA press conference on Friday evening.
The Bollywood star, who has been associated with the IIFA Awards for two decades, said that he has some “fond and wild” memories of participating in the award show over the years.
“It has been a great journey, it has been very fun. He (organizer – Andre Timimims, Viraf Government and Sabbas Joseph) have always worked hard, I remember that they remember that they remember that they have different award works for us In chairs, are kind to us, and showing heat.
Khan said that he is excited to be a part of the 25th edition of the IIFA Awards, which is to be held on 8 and 9 March in Jaipur.
“I have always told him, ‘We should have IIFA in our country’, and there is no better place than Jaipur to host. We will have our shows, come and enjoy and enjoy the Indian film industry, Enjoy the film industry with us there with us, “he said.
“I was going to start shooting for a film and when he told me that it was going to be a 25 -year IIFA and I need to live there, I reached here. I am keen to live in Jaipur. And enjoying there, “Khan said.
Actor Karthik Aryan, who is ready to host the upcoming award show, said that he is going to give his best.
“I am happy to be a part of IIFA’s 25th anniversary. I am going to host and I hope I am going to be the second best host because no one can beat him (Shahrukh). Whenever Shahrukh sir Has hosted or performed, he has been on it.
On a light note, Khan taught Yarin to host people in Jaipur.
“Padaro Mare Desh, Rajasthan,” Khan said that Aryan repeated him after him.
The press conference was also attended by Deputy Rajasthan Chief Minister Dia Kumari, who said that she is honored for hosting the IIFA Awards in Jaipur.
