After the father of Disha Salian, former manager of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who died in 2020, he said that he demanded a new inquiry into the Bombay High Court in the case of his death. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thakeray said on Thursday that efforts were being made to tarnish their image in the case of disha salian’s sudden death in June 2020, and he would present his side before the court.
Disha’s father, Satish Salian on Wednesday said that he was demanding a new investigation to the Bombay High Court under mysterious circumstances, under which she was found dead in June 2020.
He said that the petition demanded registration of the first information report against Aaditya Thackeray and transfer of investigation to CBI, he said. According to the news agency PTI, the petition also claimed that his daughter was raped and murdered, and later, there was a politically orchestrated cover-up to protect some influential individuals, Satish Salian told reporters.
Reacting to fresh development in the incident that took place about five years ago, Thackeray told reporters, “Efforts are being made for the last five years to tarnish my image. We will present our case in the court. We will give our reply (allegations) in court”.
Disha Salian died on 8 June 2020 after falling from the 14th floor of a residential building in suburban Malad. The city police had then registered a case of an accidental death (ADR) case. Six days later, Bollywood star Rajput allegedly committed suicide in his apartment in Bhadra. A war of words erupted with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on the argument filed by Disha’s father, which targets the former Maharashtra minister and calls for his arrest.
According to the previous decisions of the Supreme Court, BJP Minister Nitesh Rane said, if a person is facing rape charges, he should be arrested. He also demanded Thackeray’s resignation as an MLA. Rain told reporters, “We have demanded it in the house (assembly).”
The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Denway, who is the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, alleged that the BJP was behind the efforts to target Thackeray. The BJP -led government was free to investigate the case, asked reporters. NCP (SP) leader Jitendra Awahad questioned why Disha Salian’s father remained silent for five years and said that it is pure politics.
