The destructive wildfire in South Korea is making headlines. The Ministry of Internal and Security confirmed 27 deaths and said the number is expected to increase.
In response, many celebrities are stepping for help. BTS members Geon Jungkuk, Kim Namjoon (RM), J-Hop and Min Yoongi (Suga) have allegedly donated to support the victims.
The Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association announced that Jungkuk had donated 1 billion KRW ($ 680,000 USD) to support relief efforts in the geongbook and geongum areas affected by forest fire. This makes his donation the biggest known contribution by any public person because the disaster occurred earlier this week.
As AllkpopThe donation of Jungkuk will be divided into two parts – 500 million KRWs will go to an emergency relief fund, which have lost their homes, while another 500 million KRWs will be used to support firefighters, who are struggling with blaze.

On the other hand, RM and J-Hop each donated 100 million KRWs to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association.
RM said, “I decided to donate this, hopefully it will help in recovering from the damage caused by forest fire. I thank those who are trying their best to extinguish the fire and help the displaced victims, and I hope they can return to their normal life as soon as possible,” Indian Express.
Earlier, Suga donated the Korean Red Cross, marking its first public move since its 2024 DUI scam. The controversy raised large -scale backlash, forcing him to release a public apology on national television and pay heavy fines.
