The nine -day Hindu festival dedicated to the nine forms of Goddess Durga, Chaitra Navratri, will begin on March 30, 2025. On the first day, devotees worshiped Maa Shailputri, which is the first form of Navdurga, seeking his partition for a rich and peaceful life.
Who is Maa Shailputri?
Maa Shailputri, also known as the daughter of the Himalayas, is the first expression of Goddess Durga. It is believed that it is the rebirth of Sati, the first consent of Lord Shiva. In her previous birth, Sati self-proclaimed in the fire of her father South. In her next life, she was born as Parvati, who was the daughter of King Himavat (Himalayas), and later became Shiva’s wife.

He is a symbol of strength and determination, riding a Nandi (bull).
