The trailer of ‘Raid 2’, starring Ajay Devgn in the lead, was released on Tuesday, which offers a glimpse in a entertaining world of corruption, ambition and moral war. As a follower of the 2018 hit ‘raid’, the sequel appears to increase the bar with sharp stress and even high stakes.

Ajay Devgan steps back into the shoes of unbreakable income tax officer Ami Patnaik, a role that earned him widespread praise. This time, however, the challenges are more, the new opponent- Dadbhai, who entered the picture with a malignant new opponent, was played by Dadbhai, Ritish Deshmukh.
The trailer shows a stressful game of cat and mouse between Devgan and Deshmukh. Pack with suspense and drama, the clip indicates in an electrification story, promises a performance between two fierce forces. Devgan returns with his signature gravity, while Deshmukh’s depiction of a powerful, manipulating politician provides a refreshing and menacing contrast. As Dadabhai, he leaves both attraction and danger, which makes the honest tax officer for a cold rival.

About raid 2
The plot of the film is called as the 75th raid of Amay Patnaik – an adventurous operation that targets the character of Deshmukh, which paves the way for the fight for intelligence, power and pride.
Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who also gave the first film, ‘Red 2’ continues to attract the high-profile income tax raids from real-life events. The story once again highlights the work behind the IT officers and their coordination with intelligence agencies to highlight financial crimes.
Back in April 2020, the film was shot in various Indian places including Mumbai, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan in early 2024.
Produced by producer Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishna Kumar, RAID 2 is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-series in collaboration with Panorama Studio.
The film has been slated to hit a big screen on 1 May 2025.
